The Kaukokiito chain employs 1,300 drivers and several hundred more through subcontracting. We employ HGV drivers and delivery drivers throughout the country. The average age of our drivers is around 40, and our workforce diversity is increasing year by year – which is something we actively strive for.

Why become a driver for Kaukokiito?

Modern equipment

Good equipment makes work smoother and safer, and we are constantly renewing it. We have a versatile fleet and the number of alternative motive powers – electric and gas vehicles – keeps growing in the Kaukokiito transport operations. In recent years, we have also invested in our own service workshops.

Digital tools

The mobile app our drivers use receives high praise from professionals and it was developed in our own technology unit. It facilitates day-to-day work and information flow, and it is under constant development based on user feedback.

A wide range of possibilities

We offer a variety of jobs and aim to consider people’s individual situations in life. Sometimes being on the road for longer periods of time is what some people want, for others it’s important to get home in the afternoon after regular hours. This is something we understand, and we want to plan our shifts accordingly.

A fair and functioning work community

We value teamwork and delivering what we promise. We take our work seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We invest in management and leadership work, because we know that good management has a clear impact on well-being. We believe that our fairness is also evident to our customers.

Safety is our number one priority

Everyone has the right to return home in good health at the end of the working day. We focus on occupational safety at work and respond quickly to feedback. Our accident frequency rate is clearly below the industry average.

Well-being in action

We measure occupational well-being regularly and development targets are actually worked on – not just recorded somewhere. It is important for us to know that our employees are doing well both at work and outside work.
